but you may already have a single phone line, or possibly a touch tone phone?
Had to up grade for my heart monitor.

Ole Geauxt, with that rotary phone, just take the handle off the phone and tap the hang up buttons real fast for each number you want to dial.

my woman and i got the endcaps on this weekend, plus did all the wood putty-ing and sanding. managed to get one coat of primer on the inside and two on the outside/bottom. steady working toward the finish line...
anyone got a recommendation on paint colors/types? i used kilz latex exterior grade for the primer. i plan on hunting in both timber and marsh. my first inclination is to try and match the camo pattern on my duck jacket.

water and mud coler.. from tan to charcoal gray.....
splatter inside with dot pattern like when you shake out a brush(breaks up outline).

Used a flat base color like duck boat green. To break it up, I used camo spray paint on top. Get some bamboo leaves, lay on the boat and spray lite, repeat with one color at a time. Black, brown, rust(brown) primer, gray rust primer and a little dark green.
Before camo
After camo

That was the one I built for Josey Wales.
I'm now finished the mini me. Finished size is a bit over 76" long, bottom wide point is 16" and the top wide point is a little over 21". Sides are 7" high at center. I think I'm just going to paint it old school colors inside and out. Add a LSU sticker to each side center and one on the tray. That or Saints.

That is so clean looking, Fish. I really like the contrast in color from the sides and the rails.
You have serious skills man.

This one is just a proto. Made with Luan plywood and pine for the battens. Cost me under $15, but had the glue. Came out like I figured.

No reason to use expensive wood/glue/fasteners when all it will be used for is crawfish occasionally. I would think a couple of good coats of paint and it will still last forever.

BP, there is only 6 nails in it.
Next smaller one I will just use carpenters glue. I still need to add wood dowels at each end that one can put a roll of paper towels. The dowels will be able to be pulled out for storage. Just wasn't up to driving anywhere today.
Oh, as to why I built this? I sure don't know. I myself will never use it.
Crawfish and me don't mix.

Even if you liked them the salt would do you in.

That is the problem of not cooking them anymore.

I went to a crab/shrimp steam on the eastern shore when i was in Va Beach in navy....
guy had some type of 100 year old wooden bay boat up on blocks..
filled it with beer/ice and soft drinks....
some dude climbed into boat at one point stood on the gunwale and the starboard side came apart
boat owner cried like a baby...
