Was there any wood trim place on the inside edge of the boat around the top?

What are you asking here?
the top edge of the plywood on the boat walls is the factory edge of the plywood. It does not get cut it acts as a guide for planning down to a smooth surface.

Thanks Wick, that's a pic I was looking for. Didn't know if it was ran along the inside or outside of the top edge.
I know fish cut most of the bow stems before you guys got there, did he do one to show you guys the technique?

he could prob explain it a lot better but take a 4' 2x4 and rip a 17 1/2 degree angle half way through the thickness on both sides, then straighten the blade to 0 degrees (turn wood on side) and cut just to the top of the angle, then raise blade up keeping it at 17 1/2 degrees high enough to rip the second angle on both sides

Thanks Tiger, thats what I needed, the angles. What angle did you cut the 2x4 at for the top and bottom cut, looked like they were on a angle also.

They were, but that angle doesn't matter. You will be sanding/ planing to fit the boat...

that angle doesn't matter it will be cut just above flush with the upper edge of the plywood sides(to be planed later), but the bottom will be cut as close to flush as possible and then sanded or ground flush

Here is a cross section to show the cuts...

Yeah... Just cut the bow stems at about 20-22". They'll stick up and below the top and bottom of the bow but will be cut down & sanded.
Look back a few pages for my pictures. You'll see some from before we cut the stems down.

Up vote arrow!
Thanks, I figured it would all get evened out when you plane it down.

No have followed this from the beginning and just want to say that I think it must have been a great experience for you all.
If Fish is up for another one, I intend to make it down all the from the Dallas area.
How are they finished? Primer coat, ie. KILZ and them paint? Can you stain them and then apply several coats of oil like a boiled linseed oil?
What is the approximate weight?
It was fun following the thread, thanks to all.

This
That red airplane glue is stout, perhaps after multiple boats you could get good enough to be able to stain. That isn't happening on the first one...

That is for sure wick too many drips runs and mess.

So what is the estimated weight?
Anyone explore fiberglass for the outside of the hull?
