Just saw your email and read the post fish. I will see if I can make it early tomorrow morning to help cut wood. I can let you know later today.
I have to be in Nola for lunch tomorrow, but can probably make it for a few hrs early.

How wide would they be?
max wide point is a hair over 27" at the bottom and around 32" at the top. I can put more rake and flair, but dealing with 48" wide of wood.

How stable as far as standing in it?
For me, even at my age I'm able to stand up in a 24" bottom pirogue. I was just about born in one.

Grew up about one mile from there. The old JC Higgins Building on the industrial Canal. Caught many many spec's there.

No biggie if you can make it or not.
At this point, I hear that 4 want a 14'er. That makes things easy.

If the weather is not to bad, I will have my SIL bring his that I built and y'all can get a look at it and even try it out in my pond.

Wow a lot has happened since I was last on.
10 lb of nails arrived yesterday. 320 nails per lb
I have a 10x20 garage/tent frame I can bring but no cover for it. I think it will match the cover someone said they had but threw awaythe poles.
I have a heat gun too if we need it to aide the glue curing.
I am OK with any size as long as it will hold two people totaling 400.lbs 14' is ideal for me.

BP I have a big FEMA tarp. If needed we could use that frame then pull the rest over like a lean to...

I also have a 20" shop fan and a couple of thermacells and tikki torches with citronella oil.
Everyone should bring their thermacells if they have em I would guess.

Even with rain, cure time is not that much of a difference.

13'6" or 14'
whatever is easiest for you...
two man with some gear is all that is required for me...
I'd really like to build from scratch if that is still even possible...would like my boy to learn the whole process with me... but it is understood that this is going to be based on your ability/health... and for what it's worth, your health is more important than getting the full experience...

That is going to happen. I will leave two sheets to lay out for everybody to see along with cutting bow stems.

Anyone care to do a run down of all the tools that will be needed...
I saw a few threads that mentioned a few tools here & there, but no comprehensive list..
Here's what I have:
Cordless circular & reciprocating saw with drill/driver kit
12 wood clamps
Jigsaw
Bench plane
Hand saw
Hammer
Saw horses
Guess I need a sander of some kind huh?
