As soon as I have the details on the wood I will get more info up here. Tomorrow will likely be busier than today, so if I don't make it on here early I'll get here at some point....

Are you getting everything that is on the list as far as the wood? Don't order any 2"x4"'s. If the weather holds out today, I will be going to pick up enough for all to make the bow stems today. Do add one sheet of 3/4" ext plywood to the order. I have some, but not enough for everybody. We can split the cost for that one sheet. That sheet can be pine, a/c or b/c grade.

Fish,

I can get whatever we need when I go to the lumber store, mainly have been concerned with getting the plywood since it's such a specialty item. I can easily pick up another sheet of plywood no problem there.

If I need to get other wood supplies just let me know I'll be bringing a 20' trailer so it's not like I don't have room.

Are you getting the fir 1"x4"x16 #1 grade? Each boat will need two. They have to be clear of all knots. Hand pick them if you can. If not let me know and I will check the local lumber yard. They let me hand pick if they have any.

I was going to ask dahammer abt getting those since I can't seem to find anywhere around BR that has them.

Any idea where I can get the fir fish?

yes I assumed dahammer was getting the full wood order for each craft.

The glue has been ordered and will be delivered to fishfighter's house.

I can not for the life of me find the dang nails at the price ($12 per lb)I did the other night. I don't remember what website I found them on sale at.

I suppose I will order from Jamestown at $17 a lb instead.

That, chimes and ribs. Cypress can be used, but 3X's the price of fir.

BP, what's the ETD? That way I will be looking for it.

I will check local to see if they got anymore in and let you know. They don't stock it anymore. They can order it if we need a bunch, Ball park price is around $13.50 a board.

My SIN uses a yak paddle. He hauls arse with it. I use a boat paddle. Never in a hurry anymore. If I have a long distance, trolling motor clamped to the side.

But a true pirogue paddle has a flat bottom to it that way one can use it to push thru mud, were as a boat paddle will sink with the round bottom to it.
