I’d throw in the vibe sea ghost 130, comes with a rudder and it’s a easy to paddle rig

I ended up in Dularge and the grass was fricking brutal thicc, managed to find a couple in cuts with some moving water
Properly turned into dinner

I went back to Big Lake and managed 1 Red and a giant Black Drum. Took me 30 minutes before I could get my pliers on him to unhook my lure. I'm shutting it down til September.

Two I've been impressed with in that price range:
Precision Pescador Pro
Emotion Stealth Angler Pro
Nice, thanks! I’ll give those two a hard look.

Based on this thread, I must not be the only one having a rough go at it this summer
Water is FINALLY starting to clear up over here in MS, after the never ending rains. Had a chance to get out for a couple hours this morning and brought home a few chunky trout and couple flounder. Caught 2 reds for the slam, but both were just a bit short at 17".

What are those 2 things on the right? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those

Where should I go Monday? Looking to go anywhere in southeast LA and looking for redfish.

I need something to duck hunt out of. I have been using a perception pescador 12, but it's a little tight with all of my gear.
I have been looking at the Native Ultimate 12's, the Nu Canoe Frontiers or maybe a beavertail slip boat.
It'll probably be used 70/30 hunting/fishing.
I need something that is wide and stable and that I can haul a lot of gear in. The Ultimate looks nice because of the hull weight. The nu canoe looks like it would be a good compromise between weight and storage. The slip boat looks like it would be super comfy, but a pita to load/unload alone.
Does anyone have any leads on one of these for a good price? It's going to be beat up and used pretty hard. I dont need anything new or flashy.

I haven’t owned any of those but had a buddy that hunted out of the Frontier 12 and he had no issues don’t remember the width but it’s pretty wide and got shallow on the water
Thinking it’s less than 70# hull
shite he loaded up with shite ton of decoys, cane, guns, and a dog

If you think a Slayer 12 would work, let me know.

Appreciate it, but I think I'll pass on the Slayer. It looks better than what I have, but still not quite what I want.

Pretty much the sweet spot for the Ultimate. It can tote a lot of gear/weight, Light enough to handle, stable enough for standing, and comfortable seat.

Yeah, it's probably the front runner. Finding a used one would be great.

Have they cancelled RTB yet?

Said the bulls should be in the pass for a few more weeks so they might possibly be able to reschedule depending on what the storm leaves behind.

Honestly I don't understand why they don't just hold it in October. Its cooler, the island usually has a good bit less boat traffic, and there's probably more bulls in October than there are in August.

Was able to sneak off to the west side of the state while da peeps are getting rebuilt on the east and fish west cove marsh, water was about a 5 in clarity and high but good tide movement
Really did t have to go far in the marsh to find em but was only able to fish a couple hrs before storms blew me out
Crabs came from a quick trip to rockerfeller yesterday, gotta live a full moon!
