Anyone have any experience kayak fishing around Sea Side?
Going in June and was curious if there are any fish in that lake (Western Lake I think its called) northwest of Sea Side?

I've fished there before putting in by the Deutsches Haus where Massey's holds their demo days. Then went pedaled towards the lake. Caught quite a few small bass along the shorelines and around the houses with small docks. Best area was the docks by the island just past Harrison Ave.

There's some low bridges you'll have to go under. I made it under in a PA but had to lay rods horizontally and slouch down a lot in the seat to clear a few of the bridges.

Our thread is dying. Lol.
Anyone fishing this weekend? Looking for somewhere to go for Sunday that's not too too fresh right now.

If I can weasel my way out of being on call I'll probably go somewhere, likely Grand Isle.

Yea I have a wedding that day. We have a rule where someone else can weigh your fish so if I decide to use that rule I can maybe fish in the morning but would have to bail around 10am. Don't know if I'll bother though.

I'd probably sleep down there, have to drive to meet my wife in NOLA, then the wedding is in Baton Rouge.

Thinking of hitting PAC tomorrow. Wanted to fish Leeville for the opening day of Star Saturday, but with 60% chance of storms predicted I'm not going to risk it.

Looks like I have been driving by a new kayak shop daily and never noticed it. Between Moore Grant and The Gun Shop.

Hmmm. I may have to stop by and see what they have. I am looking at some of the BOTE accessories for the beach and the camp.

Red River Marine now has Jackson. Just saw a video with a Yupik. Had never seen one before. Love the wide open layout.
