You braving it tomorrow?
Just saw only 20% tomorrow at PAC. I thought it was supposed to rain again.

Yeah, there's some big ones caught over here pretty regularly. 15" minimum on specks gets frustrating vs the 12" in LA when you're wanting to bring a mess home

Yeah unfortunately looks like our 12” is gonna be a thing of the past this yr
But did go brave some 25 mph wind yesterday and found some copper beauties hiding in the grass, released big boy to fight another day

Solid reds. This thread fell way back.
Caught a handful of nice specks and kept 25 white trout to fry as well. Even broke out the fly rod for a dozen or so of the whites.

Damn nice haul.
Just looking at the weather, moon and forecast, Big Lake would be on fire to night fish tomorrow. But I screwed up and decided to have a baby so now I have a goddamn baby shower tomorrow night.

Hey now. I'm headed west on Saturday. PAC got hit pretty hard and probably need a week to recover.

West Cove, Spicer's, Joe's Cove, etc?
Posted on 6/9/20 at 3:56 pm to LSUlefty

Where exactly is the JC launch?
Posted on 6/9/20 at 4:27 pm to LSUlefty
Turn down Joe Dugas Road and go all the way to the end, there's an honor box to pay, I think it's either $2 or $5, if you back up to the ramp and it's dark make sure to turn your lights off, your headlights will shine right in Joe's house.

I won't have much post storm intel before Saturday unless I get a text from Kemo.
If it was me, and I was on a wild hare, I may be inclined to head to Holly Beach and fish the rocks out there. Three days of north winds should have that water looking like Florida. The guys going into the gulf were SMOKING the fish before the storm.
Could also hit up my go-to spot that's a much closer drive. You know where I am talking about. Just check the satellite imagery the day before to see what the water looks like there.
ETA: the Joe's Cove launch is kind of a POS, but luckily that means no one launches their boat there so its perfect for kayaks. Joe's Cove is one of my favorite spots because its got a lot of places for both trout and reds. A LOT of very large trout have been caught in there.
