Saw it last week. That's crazy. I wonder if it's an add on option. Kind of hard to fish being side by side.

“Hey did you hear that Hobie announced a wider, more stable version of the Outback AND a tandem Compass?”

FYI, PAC Kayak rentals are upgrading their fleet. All of their yaks are for sale. Hobies, Jacksons, and Natives.

Anybody gonna fish the yak division of the Venetian Isle Rodeo? If you sign up before Sept 1 you get a free shirt. It’s $30

This could be our team rig for Ride the Bull next year.

If y’all can build up enough speed, y’all should have no problem pulling me on skis behind that thing.

We should be able to make it out to first set of rigs for snapper n mangroves.

Still might not be able to pedal through current with that prop.lol

BlueSky says the single will do 6mph, multiply times 6 pedallers and this rig should easily cruise at 36mph.

You demoed the Cruise right? How bad was it and is that the same prop in the Blue Sky?
Posted on 8/29/18 at 11:21 am to LSUlefty
Yea I did, I think there's a couple profanity laced reviews I've posted on it somewhere on here. I've said it a couple times and I really do mean it, if I had to pick between using the Cruise FD again or paddling my Cuda I'd just paddle the Cuda. I hated it that much.

I started using more live bait recently (whatever I can catch with my cast net - mostly menhaden) but I having an issue with space. I use one of those small bait buckets from Academy with a baby bubbles but with it next to my fish bag right behind me I am squeezing these together and it is pretty tight. Have any of you used a DIY PVC live bait tube? It would eliminate the space issue as well as having to make sure I have working batteries for the baby bubbles. Any other suggestions? For reference I have a Hobie Outback.

I just tow a live bait well behind my yak. I'll be honest, I don't like fishing with live bait. I'll try again if I'm chasing trout only though.

What is your reason for not using live bait? Does the drag affect your peddling at all?

What is your reasoning for not using it? You may convince me to not use it that often.

Just not my thing. Plus, the damn hardheads.
