Sorry if this has been posted before.

quote:

A kill-switch law has been passed in Texas following a boating accident in Port, Aransas, Texas. The law requires that boat operators of a motor boat 26 feet or less in length be physically connected to a boat’s emergency shutoff switch.

seems like yet another law just to make you think the government cares about you.

It's not a seatbelt law...when an unmanned boat can kill someone else.

What about when your dumbass flys off the boat not wearing the killswitch and the boat keeps running and kills other people?

They dont care about you killing yourself here genius

This isnt like a helmet law or a seatbelt law

why would i fly off my boat? I am a responsible driver. SO i guess hunters shouldnt shoot guns because they kill people.

and i believe you are taking what i said out of context. Im not saying you shouldnt wear your kill switch. Im saying the government shouldnt feel the need to make it a law.

And you have done so with terrible arguments. You have made the argument the kill switch is only for ones own personal safety. Everyone one of your points has failed to address the kill switch is as much or more about the safety of others on the water

the killswitch law is not to protect the boat operator, though it might. the law is to protect others from an unmanned boat with a spinning propeller

Wal mart sells them for like $8. Comes with 5 or 6 of the most common switches.

There's no constitutional right to kill switch free boating.
