Maybe its all the years of jerking off with my left hand while the right hand is on the computer mouse which has given me more dexterity...

A lot of pros (who are righties) fish with the reel on the left because it saves time. The take it takes to cast with your right arm then switch hands to reel with your right takes time that could be fish.

Or maybe it was switch-casting I'm thinking of. Oh well

If your statement holds true, shouldn't there be a lot more availability of left hand baitcasters on the market?

i must be the only odd-ball that can cast either left or right handed

nope. Me as well. But always reel with right, spin or casting.

That whole dominate hand thing is meant to actuate the crank on a reel not cast.

I never understood how a RIGHT HAND dominant person puts the rod in their weak hand
because the dominant hand does all the mechanical work.

Throw a ball= mechanics

Catch a ball = have the glove in the right place. Glove does the mechanics.

God some of you hillbillies really are retarded.

I cast with my left and feel with my right.

My son is left handed, and I thought I could get away with this when teaching him to bass fish. Nope. I watched him cast left-handed, and then flip the reel over and reel backwards.

So, for his 6 b-day he got a left-handed reel. And, a few days later a 1 lb bass in heavy grass, gave him a fight, and me a lifelong memory.

right handed. Cast with left hand(can cast with right if needed) reel with right.
No switching of hands needed.
Spincast and baitcast.

It's not like it takes 15 minutes to switch hands......you're talking about 2 or 3 seconds tops.
