Create a trust is what needs to be done.

Cool, I edited my post.

They actually do carry the AEM5, which I was thinking about getting since my barrel is an SPR profile. Kinda seems silly to not get one...

Will make some phone calls monday while im driving around and see what I end up doing.

I have two, one 7.62 Dead Air Nomad Ti and a PTR Vent 1. I’ll probably never shoot the Dead Air again after shooting the Vent 1.

Get exactly what you want the first time. Spend the money, because you’ll end up buying more than one anyway. Be patient if the one you desire is on back order, it’s worth the wait.

Bluemoons is an attorney and he says don’t get the trust.

Interested in hearing why - it seems like this is by far the most popular option.

I have a trust just so that I can pass items to my son eventually. He isn't even on the trust right now. It's just me. The dumb way it's set up, as of the time I did it at least, everyone on the trust has to go through the background check when something is added. Since it's just me, I'm the only background check. But after the fact, I can add people to the trust who don't have to go through the check and they have full access. Now anything purchased after they are in the trust, they will need background checks.

May have been answered elsewhere, but for the OP, anytime you use it, you should have documentation available (electronic or hard copy). So you will have to deal with that no matter what. And the only way to let someone borrow it without you being present is to have them in the trust, but then they have equal part ownership. You aren't really letting them borrow, you are giving them ownership.

I have a few in a trust but all the last few years have been individual because I don’t really let people borrow them. Only one I really lend out is my Omega cause I don’t care about it lol.

Even if you went individual to get it quicker, after the first you can file to move however many you want into a trust and you already have them. Never plan on only buying one. I’m at 11 now and trying to decide what will make #12 and then I’ll call it quits.
