Same set up in sherburne as yesterday. Didn't see crap the past two days. Today's a new day though.

I have this new noise amplifying/hearing protection headset from Honeywell. Supposed to cancel the noise of a gun shot but also let’s you hear a tick fart from a mile away. Every time I inhale or move even a finger it sounds like I’m jumping in a pile of leaves

.270 in a boxstand looking down 2 shooting lanes. Put out some Buck Stop Crunch from O’Neal’s yesterday at noon. The deer found it last night and ate about 1/2. Hopefully they come back today to finish it.

Was very close to sleeping in this morning. Flushed a covey of quail walking to my stand in the dark so I’m wide awake now. Hopefully the deer cooperate.

Well you probably can hear young country smacking on his breakfast right about now. He has no self control this morning. Sorry for the disturbance....lol

Planning to hunt the whole day here. Had one pass by already but didn’t get close enough to see it. Gonna be a good day.

Dude your ribbon line to get to this thing is like twice as long as it needs to be. Will be making a new one that goes SW to NE next weekend.

Just sent lead at a really biggun. Got to the shoot spot and zero sign. Gonna be a long track thru a shitty thicket if we ever find blood.

Reb I have had good luck with that buck stop this year. The deer find it very quickly and keep coming back even when it’s mostly gone. I was impressed.

Good luck. I know the feeling. Hopefully you have a better result than I did Friday!

Where can you get it around Northshore/NOLA?

They are barely eating corn at one spot at my lease in Abita Springs.

That I don’t know but you may be able to call O’Neal’s in Ruston and see where they distribute. There may be something similar as well. It’s a mix of bran, cracked corn, roasted soybeans, grain mill and some berry flavoring.

I’ve also had way more luck with persimmon rice bran versus corn this year.

Nick buck. Wish our bucks at our hunting club had some opportunity to grow and mature. It’s too overly hunted
