Is it a sky high price for staining cabinets? Im not against paying a hand to do it..

I am in between selling mine and purchasing another so with all of the cash Im about to be raped out of I was just trying to save a little by DIY.

This is for new house.

Upper and lower cabinet set and a big island.

I don't want to put pics here but its very dark granite and the cabinets are light and they look cheap as frick. I want to darken the cabinets up a little.

If they are sealed already it's going to be a bigger pain in the arse and expense than you want.

We changed the doors on our cabinets and it changed the look a good bit.

I don't know about staining cabinets but I stained our table to match our cabinets when we moved and it turned out pretty good just sanding a little bit and put a couple coats down with some finish on the top.

I was quoted $1200 (low end) to stain and seal unfinished stain grade cabinets. I would imagine it would be a pretty significant difference in already finished cabinets.

Hooooly shite. I have to attempt it myself.

I am already on the hook for a refrigerator, washer, dryer and paint.

The entire, entire house is painted a very light pink with brown ceilings. I am not sure who the hell would have done that but that shite is going to cost me greatly. It looks like ice cream with the pink walls, white crown and brown ceilings.

Of course the cabinet staining doesn't have to be done right away, but I figured I might as well try to knock it out when we close and the house is bare.

You can't tease us with a Neapolitan color scheme and not produce a single picture.

I've been working on projects for 3 years, it's hard when you're living in it. Pretty convinced I will only see a small fraction of the money invested in the house when we go to sell but the buyer will be a happy mother fricker

The colors are so faint that you really have to look hard to notice them, BUT my wife knows they are there so therefore we cannot spend one night in that house until the colors are changed

This is a nice house built in 2006 so it doesnt need any work besides a slight color change on walls and cabinets.
