I did a concrete counter top for my grill area and it really wasn't bad. Unbelievably heavy though.

ETA - BP Thought about sealing it but the rest of the fence isn't sealed so I'm just going to let it age naturally.

has anybody have any experience with composite or manufactured deck materials? is the initial investment worth it over treated lumber?

My neighbor has it and he likes it. Just have to put the floor joist closer together due to warping.

His is only 4 years old but looks like it is holding up great.

when it's all said and done, how much per ft is that fence going to cost you?

I didn't add it up but it cost me around $1250 - $1500 for the lumber and hardware. Part of the fence we just moved over so that helped and the back was already up as well. I built about 120ft and had to set post for the part that was moved.

The post and the stretchers that you don't see are treated pine, everything else is cedar.

Wow Salmon, You are one hell of a decorator. I am very impressed.

In all seriousness, I really like the two lights that hang down.

If it was for an outside kitchen, I would have probably done it myself

but I was worried about how to do the undermount sink install, as well as the edge

You could easily drop the price on that fence by probably half if you just did the verticle boards with pine and left off the top decorative cap and the 3 horizontal pieces. They are there just for decoration but the covenances in the neighborhood required them.

I have a few things that I need to get off my arse and finally get done.

I seriously need to finish my project bike. I finally was able to get my brother to give me a hand putting the motor in the frame yesterday. Everything else I should be able to do by myself but that motor was a bitch.

Then after seeing a thread on the OB for a cowboy cooler or whatever they're called I decided to build one for my parents as a Father's Day gift/addition to their badass backyard in the making. There's a few old sheds/barns on the family property that I'm currently living. All build of old arse cypress wood. So yesterday my brother and I bought materials and started gathering cypress wood to get started. Should start on this later tonight.

Here's the example from the plans...

And here's my pile of materials so far. I was also able to find a couple old hinges that are still in working order that I'll use for the lid.

ETA: And frick yea I used Instagram to make my pictures look pretty!

Nothing.

School, work, fishing, and my baby are keeping me busy.

I hope to find time soon to build a few box stands.

Had a lot of projects getting ready for twin boys in August. This was a pic from last night after church. My little girl took off her dress and grabbed her tool box to come help me add a couple towel racks for the boys lol

That cooler has a regular cooler on the inside? I never looked in one to see how they are built.

Yep...here's the link to the plans I'm going to use. Looks simple enough. I'll probably figure out a way to frick it up though.
