Brick >>>>>>>>>>> Stucco

Stucco is shite and will fail at some point or another.

Up here in Richmond, VA get ready to drop $400,000 if you want to 100% brick home. Nearly every home built here has cheap arse vinyl siding, because of the cost of the brick.

Brick, more specifically the mortar will fail at some point too. Stucco is a good building material if done properly. To say otherwise is just ignorant.

I have brick covered with stucco over half. No problems and looks great.
