Strangest way you've gotten a fish/animal?

This weekend I caught a tuna on a lemonfish jig out of sheer luck. Watching for a cobialingus when 2-3 yft busted a flying fish 30 ft. away. Slung it into the pile and immediately hooked up.

Neck tailwrapped a yft bringing his line up, then caught it when the hook in its mouth came out.

My dad had just drawn back on a doe when she stepped forward behind a tree. Shows her neck on the other side and looks directly at him. She stomps and raises hell, and when he can't hold on anymore the arrow catches her a few inches above the brisket and she drops 20 yds later.

I also shot a 230" buck with my crossbow thinking I was aiming at a doe in a thicket. Didn't even know I'd hit it til someone told me that's what hair/blood on the bolt means.

i caught a goggle-eye on a beetle spin one time that was actually caught on the spinner-wire. it had come unlatched from around the jighead and the goggle-eye managed to get hooked on the exposed wire.

Took little head on his first squirrel hunt and a barn cat followed us. The cat went up a tree where I had a squirrel on the other side of the trunk and came down with the squirrel. THen brought it to me.

Little head now thinks we need to have a kennel of squirrel cats.

I caught a bass on a bare hook 1" under a plastic cork pulled across duckweed.

I killed a nutria by Javelining a long stick that hit him at the base of the skull.

Good way to catch frogs when they are to far up on the bank for the boat to get to. Jig pole and a small hair jig works every time.

Foul hooked a bull red in the tail. It looked like I had hooked him like a croacker and was using him for live bait. Anyway, that was a hell of a fight.

Ran over a rabbit on the way to the camp one night. I back up and saw I only hit the head so I put it in the back of my truck

Killed a bird that was sitting on the electric fence wire with a baseball. I jokingly told my brother "watch this" then I threw and hit him. Dead.

Shot a buck from the blind while duck hunting

Caught my first fish ever (a perch) with my hands. I could see it swimming around close to the bank so I slowly moved in and snagged it

I caught a monster perch with my hands while on my check out dive at Vortex Springs

ETA: I've caught 4 tuna (BFT and YFT) that were foul hooked

I know it's not a fish/animal but I stomped a baby copper head to death when I was 6 or 7 barefoot

Had a buddy somehow lasso a 70lb yellwofin around the tail last year. As we gaffed him, the lasso flung off

If by "i" you mean "my brother," then yeah that's what happened.

Was hunting the timber and had a nice little flock of Green work right into the decoys. We started banging and dropped several and on the departure, 2 Mallards flew right into each other and both landed in the decoys unable to take off. With a quick reload, both were added to the strap.

Luckily we were still legal with the bonus birds.
