yeah. Been doin that. It's a repurposed catfish nail, but I feel that I owe to myself to upgrade. Gonna treat myself with a fancy store bought model!

My uncle had a little gambrel made out of a welding rod or something that he used to hang them up by.

I just made one out of a piece of coat hanger as a visual aid

Yeah, that's what I do now. Been doing that for years. Just like the racks. Went to build one and got side tracked. And by side tracked I mean I went next door and drank beer. But this week....

I would not use a device if free. This is way too easy.

The tail method is what I was taught.

The biggest thing of importance is getting any hair off of the meat.

I have had several thru the years. The last one was a Koonts Skinner. Works good but I usually end up skinning them old fashion way. Cutting across back and pulling skin off. I usually skin 200-300 a year when dog hunting.

I've bent some out of sheet metal or sign material that looked similar to this. Wouldn't pay money for one though. A piece of twine with a slip knot on each end works fine too.

this is pretty much what the trailer hitch design is, just tacked onto a draw bar.

I've used a device to hang them on for years but last year decided why make myself the trouble. Now I use the tail method too. So simple.

My reluctance was fear of hair on meat but I skin em all and hang then come back and cut off feet, etc.
