Spypoint is just schizophrenic. Mine will transmit for a month, then just stop only to start back a couple week later.

Are you referring to data plans or the cam costs?

Probably updates but good luck getting in touch with their tech support. I had better luck through email but then it still took forever.

I shite canned them and went with Tactacams. So far so good with them.

They work ok for a trotline weight but leave the batteries in it for extra weight

I threw my SPYPOINTs in the trash. They worked at first but slowly degraded until they wouldn’t work at all. I called customer service and was told to
Upgrade firmware or something like that. Didn’t work and they didn’t want to help with a replacement until I canceled my plans. I have a couple moultries now and no complaints. The customer service is top notch in my experience also. I called twice and spoke to a real person that actually helped. When they couldn’t they sent me a new camera.

I'm running a spypoint on a Verizon plan and haven't had a problem.... but they do seem to eat batteries.

I had two of mine do this to me this year. Customer service was a pain in the arse. Dude kept trying to tell me I was using an incompatible sd card, and i kept explaining I was using the card that came with the camera set I bought and it had worked fine for two months prior to the issue. They had me update firmware and it still wouldn’t connect. Then the same thing happened to the second camera. The forums are filled with people whose cameras are bricked and they won’t do anything to remedy the situation.

Will be buying something else next year.

Next time y’all throw away your spypoints. Let me know. I’ll give you $20 for a camera.

It’s an average of 8-9 pictures per day per camera. I put these cameras on pinch points and trails. Not feeders or heavy use plots.

The positive is that I could have 20 Flex cameras out getting 250 pictures per month per camera and it still only cost me 8.33 per month total.
