Is there anything worse than walking to your stand before sun up and running into a spider web? We have a lease north of Zachary and the banana spiders are out in full force. I hate spiders more than I hate snakes. Any tips or tricks you learned over the years to avoid these bastards?

Have your husband walk in front and knock them down for you.

If you call out loudly while you walk, they’ll scurry off before you walk through their web.

Have an up vote, but that doesn't change my hatred of spiders.

Use a little 3 ft stick to wave in front of you while walking.

I’m not afraid of spiders at all, but it does get aggravating trying to get all the webs off your face and hair when you get in the stand.

responsible for more "shite-in" underwear than all Taco Bell and Panchos restaurants combined.

Talk about crappy luck. Out of all the trees and you picked the one with a recluse at the bottom of it.

There's almost nothing you can do to protect yourself from being exposed to a venomous spider. That being said, I'm convinced you have to have extremely bad luck for it to happen. We all live around black widows and brown recluses daily, and the occurrences of being bitten are rare. Just keep hunting and don't worry about it.

Venomous animals don’t bother me much. I was talking about the odds. It would make more sense to me if the recluse was in his clothes the whole time.

More likely it was in his hunting clothes from storage at home.

If it bothers you that much just find you a small three or four foot small stick and wave it in front of you as you walk. We always ty-wrapped a piece of bamboo on each side of the front of our four wheeler that would knock the web down before it would hit you in the face

You mean like sticking your face in corner of pit blind that full of brown widow spiders?
