They say two of the happiest days in a man's life is the day he gets a boat and the day he sells it...

I was kinda sad to watch it pull off behind the buyer's truck this afternoon ...

Just don't have time for fishing or joy riding any more these days...

Sometimes being a parent sucks!

Crap on that. Buy new boat . Take kids with you. The day my rig leaves behind someone else truck is day I'm picking up my new boat. Seriously take the chaps fishing and off the iPad

Just sold mine because I have a kid on the way and it looks like I'm moving to texas at the same time. When I saw the boat pass me om the road later the morning I sold it, I about cried.

I had to drop my price after 2 weeks of no solid action, but I got the full reduced asking price.

Got exactly what I paid for it 5 years ago. (minus anything I invested into it, ie gps/fish finder, bimini top, etc.)

There is plenty of water over here. Fishing isn't bad either.

I know the feeling. Sold both of mine in the past year. They were honestly too big for what I have time to do anymore. I will be picking up something smaller though. Also probably a (don't hate) pontoon boat to take the kids joyriding on.

Heck, I'm waiting for my little boy to be old enough before I buy a boat so he can go fishing with me.

Go get another one, I take my just turned 1 yo on the boat with me every chance I can. We might only stay out for an hour or so, but its better than nothing. Lot of times, I will fish early, and have the wife and him meet me at the launch around 10 or so. Pull up on an island or sand bar and give him lunch, usually falls asleep in the truck on the way home. Trying to break him in early, so as soon as he is old enough to fish, he will be used to the boat already.

The only people that say that have either never owned a boat or only bought pieces of crap they never used.

The only time selling a boat is happy is when its to get a better boat.

Hope you get back on the water soon

Yeh, I take mine with me. Problem is kids these days don't have the patience for fishing. 20 minutes in, the fish better be jumping in the boat or they'll be asking about doing something else.About the best solution I have found is letting them take their iPad/iPhone along and they can resort to that. At least that way I get to fish.

I usually just throw them in the water when they aggravate me enough. It's a win win. I get out a little frustration and they think it's fun because they get to swim.

My dad never had to throw my brother and I off. We would jump in.

i felt the same way about my first marriage.

i don't think i'll ever not own a boat again, unless i'm so old i can't even leave the house.
