Got my current mix breed through this site. You can expand the search depending on how far you are willing to drive. Also can look for dogs, this page shows <1 year olds.....

Thanks, I sent her the pics. That's a fine looking pup. I think she sensed my excitement and said "I dont want a hunting dog" couldn't talk her out of the pound visit. 99% chance she comes home with dogs tomorrow.

Let her know its not her dog, but yalls. I fricked up and bought my wife the dog she wanted and not one I wanted. Needless to say the dog is "mine" now. Only listens and likes me and the wife resents that.

Find a purebred that you like then look for a local rescue
Louisiana Boxer Rescue for example

You can also try petfinder.com, a lot of rescues list their available dogs on there

Beagles are great dogs and I guarantee it can keep up with her running.

I was right, she has one on hold at the pound. Thanks for the help, yall. I think this was a situation where I was supposed to listen and empathize, not actually make an effort to help.
