Does anyone know if Colt is actually producing this gun?

Been waiting for years for one to show up at retail. I am almost to the point of ordering a Standard Mfg version even though I really want the Colt.

According to googles, colt still makes them. You likely will have to venture online to find one. Not many local shops are going to stock high end wheel guns these days. They don’t see the market for putting one in the case and waiting for the right buyer to maybe walk by. Much more profitable to stock plastic guns that move quickly.

I really wanted a C-O-L-T too, but ended up getting a C-O-L Uberti Cattleman 2, which is made with impressive quality for its price. Take that for what it's worth.

I do not have a SAA but have seen several. My FIL had 3 really old Colt Bisley’s. They were really neat.

If you don’t want to wait you may can find a Ruger Vaquero. They are great guns and you don’t have to worry about shooting one.

Colt isn’t making them unless you special order through the custom shop I believe. They aren’t a money maker. They are primarily focusing on the re introduced revolvers, some Ar’s and runs of 1911’s in batches.

I bought a SAA circa 1917 in 32-20 a few months ago. It had all matching numbers, no rust or pitting, timing was perfect and lockup was tight. Guy I bought it from was in a jam and needed money quick to pay his ex wife child support. I paid him $700 for it.

They are Custom Shop special orders only, not production. You can find them, Pythons and national match govt/special combats at gun shows but people price them like Parker 28 gauges.

You can order them. I think Hebert guns had one in the case about a year ago.

Worth the price of admission IMO

He wanted a$1000 for it but couldn’t meet the day I contacted him. He told me if I meet by the end of the day he would sell it for $700.

I canceled my appointment and met him.

Thank you sir! I found the order form on Colt’s website. Oh my.

I guess my decision now is 2k for a Std Mfg, 3k for a base off gun broker or 4-5k for a custom.

Plus, if I get the custom, then I have to buy another one to shoot.

Legit private sellers, when you can find them are more reasonable than the pond scum you usually find selling them at gun shows, just FYI.

You can find an old shooter grade for $1500 or less. The 32-20 models are less desirable than the 45 LC. All of the frames are the same so you can rebarrel a 32-20 to .45 LC for much less than buying a 45lc gun.
