The marksville deer was shot in marthaville, which is natchitoches parrish. If you’ve ever visited both towns, you, would be shocked that they are only 1 1/2 hours apart from each other

Now days with all the CWD stuff people are scared to travel with the head/meat etc etc
I know most people killing them out of state bring back the horns, I guess the Taxidermist puts them all back together

Taxidermist only need a small section of the skull plate to do a shoulder mount. Most of the skull is trash. You can remove the cape and skull plate and transport way less material that way.
