Any of you baws have one of these? Kinda tempted to grab one and get in on the Sico free suppressor deal. I see the Maxim 9 for $827 at one place so I could get one of the free octane's (not sure what I would want but pretty sure the 45k). I already have a hybrid, omega, and omega 9k.

Discuss...

thread hijack, how do you like the hybrid? I am think about getting the hybrid to take advantage of the SiCo deal as well.

Double hijack-please tell us how you like the Omega and Omega 9. Those are the 2 I'm really looking at, but may also be interested in the Hybrid.

Thanks. I wish they were offering a deal on the Osprey right now, due to its size, but I'll be fine with the Omega 9.

What about the Omega? Right now, I only plan on using it with 5.56, but will probably go 7.62 before too long, as well.

Any experience with the Hybrid?

This. It feels like a cheap Chinese toy. I hate the grip texture and trigger. That being said it's still a cool novelty item, but I would rather get another pistol caliber suppressor to run on multiple platforms. I've never been a fan of integrally suppressed guns. It just limits your options too much.

Company probably not going to be around for that. Maybe someone else will buy the design and continue to work on it.

I was kinda hesitant on the maxim 9 but the BYGO kinda deals get me every time I dont know what otehr suppressors I would get from them that I would want in order to get free ones. I would probably pass on the maxim then based on yalls feedback of how it feels.

I like the hybrid but it is also my only and first rifle can and I have only shot it a few times so take it for what its worth. What I really like about having it is I plan to thread my 45/70 marlin trapper and I can run it on that with some hand loaded 405gr subs.

My omega and omega 9k are still in jail so no experience with them yet.

My own thread-jack I was sticking with the SiCos becasue I have a bunch of ASR mounts already. But as time goes on and I hear rumors of them going belly up I wonder if maybe I wont just direct thread everything. That way I can also run other brands that wont take other companies direct thread (like Q) on any of the rifles I want. I can just keep thread protectors, or things that dont need timing, on the rifles to protect the threads when no can is on there.

Anyone have feedback on that idea?

Yeah, they wont be around for much longer. all their best and brightest have left. someone will do something similar and nail the execution a lot better.

if you only want one between the 2, go Omega. a bit heavier and longer, but you're not restricted to 300BLK and 9mm. I have one and it's been awesome, save for a minor issue with the ASR module.

too long, too heavy. i wasnt a fan. i just don't move cans around that much. much better to have cans dedicated to specific tasks and guns. the catch-all concept is a miss for me

It is quite long and heavy but when I bought it (right before 41f), it was my first and only so I would need to move it around to all my rifles and pistols possibly. Now I am glad to have it becasue I will be able to run it on my 45/70 and that will be where it is mostly since im getting the omega now as well.

I meant to ask about the Octane 9. Anyone have experience with that one? (I am pondering purchasing the Omega Rifle and picking up the Octane 9 as the free one).

yeah, the Octanes are good cans. I have the 45 and it suppresses well. I would get it over the 9mm just in case.

I was thinking that. I standardized everything pistol-wise on 9mm in 2007, but am not against getting another 45.

i did as well, but you never know what you're going to want in the future. you may want a 10mm 1911 with a threaded barrel lol. dont want to box myself in, so i went with the Oct45.
