USPSA and steel challenge takes place once a month at Palo Alto rifle and pistol range.

A USPSA match is scheduled for this weekend at the ascension sheriffs range.

I'll have yall know that back in the day, I was the OB skeet shooting champion. I think Nico was high so he didn't shoot too good.

you live in Lake Chuck ? LC has a range/club where people shoot "hunter class" benchrest competition

I have zero clue what other disciplines they shoot in LC. Lafayette had a few Sporting Clays shooting clubs but not sure of the status post-Covid. As mentioned above, gonna be very expensive to shoot several times per month in various competitions.

Not sure where you are located, but there are USPSA matches every weekend around SE Louisiana. There are also steel matches every weekend.

Tangipahoa Parish Practical shooters in Amite does their USPSA matches on the 4th and 5th Sundays of the month, and their steel matches on the first Saturdays.

East Ascension has their match in Gonzales on the third Sunday.

Palo Alto in Donaldsonville does a USPSA match on the first Sunday and their steel match on the second Sunday.

The only 3 gun match around here is in Poplarville, and they usually do it on the first Sunday.

They have a 2gun match in Biloxi on the 4th Sunday. They also have a USPSA match on the third Sunday, and a steel match on the second Saturday.

MCTA in Kiln is a new club some of my good friends have started putting on. They do awesome USPSA matches. They have theirs on second Sunday.

The best way to find any match would be to sign up to practiscore.com and search your area. I used to shoot every weekend until I hurt my knee. Now I just shoot mostly Tangi since it's close to my house. Lots of good people in the competition community.

Thanks and yea just outside of Lake Chuck. I have shot there a lot and most of my ammo I order thru LC gun club. Been lucky we have so much bulk buying power thru them that we haven't had much trouble as all with ammo like other places.

USPSA is a little to "not my style" for comp shgooting. almost liberal if you will. Dont attack me. not saying they are democrats just not what im looking for. Ive tried a few comps. placed in 2. Just not quiet what im looking for.

Id like to see a OB skeet shoot. Maybe some trap. Handicapped? or striaght up. Id suggest handicapped to make it more enjoyable for everyone. If not after first 50 most rec shooters will be sitting on tailgates

Are you saying USPSA shooters are liberals?? That's the furthest thing from the truth I have ever heard. Everyone I have ever shot with may not be a conservative, but they for sure all value the 2nd amendment more than most any other shooters.

If you actually have tried a few comps then you would know that the people around here who shoot are some of the nicest people you can meet. Also you don't "place" in USPSA competitions.
