Are any of y’all familiar with any of the guides on Sardis Lake, MS, or Enid Lake?I am looking for a bass trip, but crappie would be fine. I’ll be in Batesville next weekend with nothing to do. I’d rather go fishing than sit at a horse show.

Sardis is crappie capital of the world. The bass fishing is lame there not even sure if you could find a guide. There is some pretty good catfishing in some spots. From what I understand out of all the flood control lakes Enid and Arkabutla have the better bass fishing, grenada and sardis for crappie.

I would check the water levels before going. I think all of them have been at flood stage for months. There is no where for the water to go. The MS river is backing up into all the MS Delta rivers.

I booked with Gibsons Crappie Guide Service. He said that the best fishing as of this week has been on Sardis, but was taking a trip to Enid today and tomorrow. He is going to call me today to let me know which lake we will go to next weekend. Thanks for yalls recommendations.

My aunt is a commercial fisherman on lake Sardis but they only run slap traps for cats.

be ready for some slabs if you've never fished it. This time of year it is more one here one there especially during high water. You don't get on them as much and catch 15 in one spot like you can late february to may. The guides know what they are doing for sure though. bring a cooler cause them some fine eatin. The slot limit is bigger on the flood control lakes than anywhere else in the state and likely country because they get big and there are lots of them. have fun.

I haven't fished this area before, but I am looking forward to it. Is sounds alot better than sitting at the horse show.

Grenada Lake Crappie Guides. They are the best outfit around for Grenada, Enid, and Sardis. Brandon Fulgham and Patrick Stone. I go on a trip with them every year for my brothers birthday and they will be catching slabs when all the other guides are struggling. When I went with them in March we caught a 3.52, 3.07, 2.97, 2.92, and 2.83 for our top 5 fish. We caught a bunch more but those were the 5 biggest that day.

All I fish are the flood control lakes (when I have time to go nowadays) along with the rez.

There is no area in the country with slabs like the big 4 COE lakes in Mississippi.

We got fat people and fat crappie, yall come on down now, ya heah?

I grew up fishing on Grenada lake . As a kid I 14-15 I would wade down old #7 and murder the crappie off the sides of the road . Great memories
