What are you using it for? Important distinction. Home defense? Hunting? Competitive shooting? Surrogate dick?

Eotech and Aimpoint are genuinely considered the 2 best. The Aimpoint Patrol has ungodly battery life .

If you’re on a budget look at the Sig Sauer Romeo.

If you’re broke arse poor, Bushnell makes an $80 one people say is surprisingly adequate.

All you need is a Primary Arms red dot (SLx Advanced 30mm Red Dot Sight). It's a good red dot for the money, $130. They also sell other brands. The Vortex Optics, Strike Fire II is very good for a $200 red dot. I own both. Don't buy in to the notion that you have to spend $400-600 for an Aimpoint or EOTech. They are great if you have the cash to burn, but not necessary unless you are fighting a war in Afganistan for a couple of years, or putting several thousand rounds downrange each year, or some shite like that. My two cents. Go to primaryarms.com

Vortex Strike Eagle

1-6x
Or
1-8x (I have this one)

Easy to use and beats messing with a red dot and magnifier.

Only downside is weight. Not heavy, but should be considered.

Primaryarms Newest Red Dot

I got one of these last week. Not bad for $150.
