Someone let me know if they see a 10-22 near Baton Rouge or Cenla area. I've looked at several around BR but haven't had any luck.

I didn't check for the others but Walmart on ambassador in Lafayette had the 308 and 243. However, both were marked at $378. The lady scanned them and entered the numbers and both showed "item not found". She said she'd have the department manager look into them in the morning. While there another guy walked up eyeballin the same guns, which one of you was it?

Lol I called them around 4. Lady told me they were not on sale but that might have been before you got there.

While I was waiting on the lady to track down the gun case keys, I thought every guy that walked by was an OBer looking for a deal

It is 199 on ambassador for the 308 and 243. Standing at the counter to buy the 308 when they can sell at 8...243 is left.
They do this to make room for a new set of guns for hunting season...so that's why it happenes around August every year I'd bet.

Thanks DeoreDX for spending my money took for ever...had computer issues. But walked out with a 308 for 199

I'm jealous! I wanted the 308. Had to settle for the 30-06. I agree there will be alot of varmints dying from this thread . Curious to know the total amount of gun sales Walmart has made off of this thread as well.

I figured someone would walk up while I was there. I was going to go after work but when you said it didnt scan I figured id try in the morning. It didnt scan again and the lady had to go in the back and ask someone. Then I had to wait till 8. Then the computer shut down 1/2 way through filling out the form. Then the signature pad would register so it took unplugging and resetting a bunch. Then I had to wait for a manager...took an hour I figured if the 308 was gone id grab the 243. Did you get them to scan the savage 22s? After she came back I asked what about them for 99 and she said no those were not. I didnt get her to scan but im wondering if I should have since she didnt know about the rugers.

I wanted a 308 but I was going to look at the rem 700s and get the magpul hunter stock. But man 199 is so cheep for what seams like a gtg deer gun. Might get a boyds wood stock one day.

When I went to get mine the guy told me the Rugers were $389. I told him they were on clearance and he said no they are not. After he figured I wasn't going away he scanned it and it said $199. Either he didn't know or he didn't want to do a gun sale at 6:30 AM.

I wouldn't trade my Remington 700 for this gun. I'd still save up if you have to and get the 700. That said if you want a caliber you don't have but don't need a nice gun its a great deal.

I'll still end up with one or something like it eventually but I have issues and its hard to pass up deals. Besides this will be a good one to lend out when I go with friends that dont have anything.
