Ok the honey hole known as the pinhook wallmarks put there guns back out. I got someone to scan and they don't scan at all...that should mean on sale but she didn't work in that department. They had 2 270s, 308, 3006, 45-70 out in the cabinet. Not sure if more in back. And not sure about the rimfire I didn't check.

Well manager called an apologized and said come get your gun and we'll pay for your gas . I go Monday and they had sold the ruger over the weekend . I am not happy . Well, they give me a Remington 700 .243 with scope for the same price . And a $ 20 gift certificate for gas . Not a whole lot of organization at the Vidalia wal mart . But they have a better sporting goods area then both stores in Alexandria .

You came out ahead on that deal lol

I sold my Ruger for a $100 profit. Putting all that to a new weatherby. The Ruger seemed liked a decent gun I just didn't like it for some reason.

Yea I got it knowing I could make a quick buck. I just didn't like it lol. Great gun at the $200 price point not at the $390. I'd prefer a Remington 700 at that price point. Got a 50% return on my investment in 2 weeks or so. Can't beat that lol.

I was tempted to do the same, buy one, try it out then sell if I didn't like it. I noticed a few NIB Rugers and and few others posted on the LA Sportsman classified a couple weeks ago and figured it was some OB'ers trying to make a few bucks.

Does anyone know of any Walmarts in the Baton Rouge area that still have the Ruger Americans available for $199?

The one on pinhook in lafayette still had some 270s last time I looked a week ago but they never had them marked 199. I never checked to see how they rang up so they may be 199 like the other places had.

Just called. The woman I spoke to said they had a 270 but it's $378. Thanks for your help anyway!
