Rod setup for throwing crank baits

Fast tip medium heavy setup

For crankbaits and rattletraps I use a duckett medium rod. I use all duckett rods. I'm going to be using a MH in Toledo for deep diving crankbaits because I feel like the medium won't have enough arse for them. But typically I use my medium with a diawa reel.

Most crankbait rods are fairly slow compared to what most are used to. Many companies have introduced fiberglass as crankbait rods because they’re slower than graphite.

7ft is pretty standard.

Basspro makes cranking rods in light, ML, MH, and heavy which are great actions under $100.

Lipless cranks
Seeker 7ft MH crankbait rod smaller micro guides for accurate casting. Straight up only good for lipless crankbaits. Superior bait and tackle use to sell them for $129. It is also a great rod for fishing Hwy 11 Bridge. It is very sensitive. Drawback bigger blank than the avg composite rod.
