I guess I'm not surprised.

The jackassery on the water was off the charts last year so I was leaning on not doing it. Hopefully this acts a good reset.

I won't say never, but I better have lots of other fishing planned for the weekend for me to do it, and if I don't have a fish weighed by about 9:30, I'm out.

Pretty sure that’s not why it’s canceled

Same, only way I'd do it again is if we can get a group of friends together and basically spend the day floating and drinking, it's much more a fish a lottery than it is a real tournament.

How do you act like a jackass in a Kayak?

The problem with the tournament is you have too many people fishing a small area. Throw on top of that some years only 20-30 reds caught leads to very little excitement. Then throw on top of that many inexperienced kayakers with guys getting croakers slapped on their faces lol. Now the pre parties on Friday night are fun.

Adding a few categories with smaller prizes for other species besides reds would fix that

Good. Thank God I won’t have to navigate the pass with 3000 assholes in kayaks with no lights at daybreak

If you were going through the pass at daybreak you wouldn’t encounter any RTB participants in the pass anyway considering they do a shotgun launch from Bridgeside at 7 or 7:30 so there’s a full hour or more of daylight before the kayaks are on the water and the boats have had plenty of time to go out by that time

I've done it once with a big group of friends. A few years ago when only a handful of fish were caught. We didn't catch shite but we had a good weekend.
