I think some people don't understand just how hard it is to compare. No one store has ever had everything I've wanted to see. I still have never seen a new Slayer that wasn't a propel. If PacknPaddle had a new Kaku Wahoo last week, I might have left with one. That is a boat that needs more attention.

Does anybody know what KC does the fix the issue with the cracking? I just got mine in December and noticed 3 little spots after fishing this weekend. They are on the outside where I stand up.

The Lizard Lick is now that blue color. Don't think I want blue. Looking like the Gray if i go native.

Why the Slayer and not the Outback or PA?

I've never considered any peddle boats. Not interested in those at all.

I've heard that they require a lot of water to peddle, which kind of defeats the purpose of a kayak.

The people that have them love them enough to try to talk you out of a paddle one. If I fished more out of one, maybe then. I primary fish out of a bay boat. The yak is just something else to do and something for really small lakes up here. Hell, I'd still have my very basic/simple Emotion Angler if I did not have the tailbone pain issue from that type of seat. That boat was light, fast and tracked great.

Buying a new/more comfortable seat was not an option?

Nope. I even posted here asking how it could be done. The shape/size of the seating area just wasn't going to allow any fitting of a stadium type chair. I even bought a few, took them home, then failed miserably to get them to work.

The Hobie pedal system works better in shallow water because you can reduce the length of your kicks and the flippers barely move off of the hull. The Slayers are easier to paddle with a traditional kayak paddle. With either brand, you can easily lift the drive out of the water and paddle in shallow water or use a push pole.

I'm not saying one style is better than the other but pedalers can operate just fine in shallow water.

I still like the ability to back up in a slayer propel. Would be sweet to drift a shore line and be able to hold the same distance

Today the unicorn will be located.

I have faith that you will find the equivalent kayak to the elusive OT10.

I've got the feel free lure in 13.5 length. Great yak but heavy as hell and a barge to paddle if you want to go over 2-3 miles in a day. The sonar pod, adjustable seat, and wide hull are all top notch. I can stand up and throw a cast net from mine
