If anybody is interested, I am selling my KC K12. It comes with a trolling motor and two batteries.
I just run mine on the floor. It doesnt get caught on anything for me. I used a heave 10 or 8 gauge cable on mine. Used one smaller at first but had to change everything out after 6 months. Figure overkill wont hurt
I have the same exact kayak with a trolling motor on it. I fish almost every weekend in PAC with it. This is what I have and how I set it up:
1) the motor - I have the 30lb 30" trolling motor.
2) The battery - I looked into a few different sizes. I ended up getting this one. Its about 22lbs, so it doesnt add too much weight. I have only run it dead a couple of times and usually cover 7-8 miles. I use it to get out, then i pick it up and paddle around. then use it to get back in.

Battery case I use
3) The charger - I use a NOCO one that they sell at Batteries Plus. It takes over 24 hours to charge, so I ended up getting a second battery in case I fish on back to back days
NOCO G1100 charger
4) Rigging - I place the battery in the front of the kayak to help offset a little of the weight. I slide the seat up so that the front of the seat is just over the front of the gun-butt holder on the floor and I put my fish ice chest directly behind my seat. I found an old crate that is rectangular and fits perfectly in the back area. I also took the head off the trolling motor and moved the switch right next to my seat and built a steering arm so I can turn it without turning around. ..
5) I use mine strictly in saltwater. The first time I took the prop off and soaked it. After that, I would soak it in fresh water, but now I dont even worry about it. Its already lasted a year, so if I have to buy another one this year, I would say its worth it.
I dont have any pics of how I have mine configured, but can help you out if you need.

The new kayak launch is nice. You can back up right to it, pull your kayak out and go. Eddie helped me both Saturday and Sunday morning this past week. I will be out there again this Saturday. The water has been a little dirty, but reds are in the broken marsh area almost any direction. You can find trout, but nothing big, most have been 12-14 inches with throwbacks.

Does anybody know what KC does the fix the issue with the cracking? I just got mine in December and noticed 3 little spots after fishing this weekend. They are on the outside where I stand up.

I received two tickets to the ULL game. It says suite 301, I looked at the seating chart and they dont show suites. It also says it is SRO. So are they standing room only in a suite?? thanks
