Yeah, because it's so easy to find a job right now. (Thanks to those blue states).

I love Remington. They were my first rifle and shotgun and my only weapon purchases.

The circumstances surrounding their contract are questionable, at best, and it really bothers me now that I have to choose between a quality product and principle.

I'm probably going to keep the Remington shite I have but not buy anymore. Try to remember them as they once were...

Well, you would think employees of a firearm company would vote for more gun friendly politicians...but they are New York union workers that are employed in manufacturing. I feel very confident that plenty of them vote for Democrats.

Browning and Tikka make much better products for only a hair more. Get quality and keep your principles.

Tell me again what big government contract Kimber just signed for over 80 million to a state restricting second amendment rights. Kay thanks!

ETA: that's over 16k per rifle. Please tell me that's not a payoff. Oh, and they are .50 BMG rifles, not .308 or .223 like normal state police departments.

You do realize this was a federal contract to make rifles for the military and not New York police officers right?

The employees can move. If they choose to stay in NY, good luck to 'em. Plenty of jobs around here with good pay and benefits. Companies can't find enough people to work and pass drug screen though.

The link that I am reading clearly says state police but I will find another link and confirm or deny what I said. I very well may be wrong, just reposting what I am reading.

ETA: You were indeed right.

What about the people in those blue states that didn't vote for the blue man that need a job?

My ancestors moved all the way from Germany in the 1840's because Germany was a shitty place. They left family they knew they would never see again. Moving 800 miles away to better your situation is nothing.

I don't think that is a state contract. I think it is military.

People in the 1840s also didn't have indoor plumbing, perhaps we should start shitting outside again too.

Just saw that I was wrong. I even pulled up an article to make sure that I was right and it was off.

Just a FYI for errone:

It's a DoD contract, but seems pretty convenient of the timing and considering the current administration doesn't mind playing dirty with favors for it's liberal buddies still has me suspicious of it.

It's Cerebus now not Freedom group, but same companies under the umbrella. If I need a pistol or AR I'll go with Wilson Combat here in Berryville, AR. Walther is opening a plant in Fort Smith.

This isn't just about Remington. This is about us flexing our economic muscle and showing these companies and politicians that if you don't support those of us that purchase your products, you can go get F$%ked.

I really thought that the gun companies understood this. Gun owners are picky as hell and standup for themselves. CTD learned the hard way and I would think that others would learn from example.

For future ARs: Daniel Defense = GA and Larue = TX
