Had a rookie out the academy riding one cold night. On a busy highway. Saw a headlight on a powerline. I keep going like normal traffic. He freaking out , stop, you saw that light? I say, i saw it. But you would know if you….. well anyway i explain a nite hunter sees brake lights suddenly or hears mud tires wind down, that lite goes off.

So we go down a ways then U turn . Idle up to the powerline in blackout. They hunted right up to us.

If the section of land where you enter for retrieval isn't posted, the best they can get you for is simple trespass, not criminal trespass. It's just a ticket, if you get caught.

I don't have any private land I have access to hunt but if I did, the first thing I'd do is introduce myself to the bordering owners, exchange cell phone numbers with them, and send them each a fruit cake every Christmas.

You ever sneak up on a 210 lb 7 point sleeping, and kill him with an arrow ?
I made a euro out of that one.

Overall, you just gotta be sneaky. Less broadcasting.

One time in high school I had a pimento cheese sandwich, I didnt eat it all, so then the next day I made another but cut it in diagnoals and also packed some of those little mini pretzels with it. It was better for some reason, when I was done I threw the package in a trash can.

I thought Louisiana had legislation in which all land was “posted” even if there were no “signs.”

I think the penalties are harsher if there are posted signs, though. IDK if true but I've always heard that.

I was quoting GA law.

Even if the land isn't posted in GA you can still get a trespass ticket but it's not criminal trespass unless it is posted, or you are otherwise fricking around doing criminal shite.
