2 basket bayou classic fryer for the win have one at home one at the camp. Fry drain oil/strain and ready to go again. I have tried several of the electric friers they work good for small batches but big groups take too long IMO.

Go to angola, they make the bayou classic style for around $100. I have one and it works pretty good.

Honestly i toss it after every fry. I don't care for used cooking oil. Only time i have kept it is after a batch or two of fries. If i fry seafood in it i toss it out.

Here's my version. Added a temp controller with a solenoid valve, shelves, and wheels to roll around.

Any reason you toss it other than personal preference ? I'm just curious .
I have cooked several batches of fish , shrimp and homemade fries in the same oil. I just filter and store . It's still clear and hasn't gone rancid.

No guarantee what i will fry next. More personal preference than anything and the wife doesn't care for me storing the used oil in the kitchen.

I don't keep mine either. I usually let it cool to the next am and then toss it. Who knows what flew in there overnight.

My friers take 4 gallons I strain and drain after each use with peanut oil. I tend to get about 6 months out of the oil that way.

If you fry in bayou classic u don't have to drain because the crumbs go to the bottom and don't burn. Same concept as restaurant fryers
