Looking to put in a modad, add a couple poles for power and prep/form/pour some concrete.

Any input is appreciated.

Lee Townsend, 985-665-5834. I don't know if Lee can do the modad or sewer treatment plant, but he could recommend someone. Mr. Reuvin St. Pierre did ours several years ago.

Need a plumber for modad. Call whoever is the power company for your poles and transformer and an electrician for setting the service. Not sure on the concrete work.

Do not use this guy... I just had him spread about 100 yards of dirt on my property. He quoted me one price and then when it was done jacked the price up.

Billy Ramagusa

He is not cheap and has the standard delays of GI, but the guy can build/fix just about anything. If he cannot, he knows and is friends with someone who can.

Once you get to know him, he is awesome. He will watch over your stuff and be available at anytime.

Rubin St. Pierre is the only person on the island that can do your modad unless you bring in someone from out of town and he will have to be legal (local license) or you will catch hell. Joe's is the local dealer for the modad but he has an agreement with Rubin that he gets all the work on GI.

Entergy should take care of your poles to your meter, if not you can try Schexnayder for both your poles and your concrete work but they are very busy raising buildings.

Good luck

Thanks for the info.

What's the concrete plant in the area? Google is only giving me Terrebonne, but they don't have a website.

Quote for a 500 gallon was $4400. But with 2 campers, I'll likely have to go bigger. They said it would be more, like a couple grand. But I haven't gotten a firm number yet.

That's not plumbed up, just the install.

Was looking at doing the same. I figured $5k was about right. Throw down some concrete w a cover for rv and boat and you are g2g. You already purchased the land?

Concrete is high down there too.

And covers need to be wind rated and come with a V-zone certificate. I was going to put a big covered from a metal building company up...but insurance on it was 5k a year. So, until I can do something cash, it's going to be sunbrellas.

Some places do have regular rv covers, not sure how they are rated for down there though.

Haven't bought it yet. I've got one pretty much have picked out but I'm going to take another ride around the island Friday to make sure.

If you've got a little better budget than me, they have a nice development in the middle of the island, Tropical Landing, gated community with a private boat launch with slips available.

That’s where I’m at. I’m not in the gate but have access to launch.
