Looking to get a pair of boots to wear when I go out, or to work occasionally. Typically they will be worn with nicer jeans. I haven't purchased a pair of boats over 10 years so I could use some suggestions. Comfort and style are my main concerns. Whatcha got?

i would think J. Peterman would have found some boots in his extensive travels to far away lands such as Burma

Bought a pair of Tony Lama's a few months ago that are really comfortable. People on here are gonna talk about Lucchese but I hear they hurt your feet.

I just bought these Lucchese's, tried on some Tony Lama's and they were very comfortable but couldn't find any I liked as much.

Lots of choices. Go to a western store and try some on.

I got a pair of Larry Mahan® Men's Peanut Brittle Brown Full Quill Ostrich Exotic Western Boots for Christmas and absolutely love them. First pair of cowboy boots and I wear them all the time. Look great with "nice" jeans. Hell, I even wore them with a tan suit. I get compliments on them constantly.

A man of your stature shouldn't wear anything less than Lucchese.

I like the looks of all three in the links posted. Guess I'll head over to Sylvester's after work and see what they have.

Sticker shock can be hard at first...but you have to realize a pair of boots like that will last you 20 years. And they will never go out of style.

I still have a pair of Lucchese and Justins that I had in High School that still look new...and that was almost 20 years ago.
