Poldueax is some of the best eaten ! Some people do know what they are missing by not eating . Oh and that big ole gizzard !!! My dad would trade almost anything for that gizzard ! Pop called them Jesus Birds cause the walked on water

Have to agree! If there is a chance for me to get a nice mess of them I will!! Love shooting and eating them.

My paran only used the hearts and gizzards. Gave the rest to my dad to cook.

Look again. Boat was not moving when he shot and engine was off.

Hot damn I don’t suck hunt much these days but I’ve never seen a duck breasted out like they did the pouldeau. Is that a common method with any other ducks?

When I lived in Thibodaux a friend and I wouldn’t even bother hunting the lease until big duck season, we would just hit the bluebird canal twice a week limiting out on coot in between slaying sacalait. Damn good eating

I can’t speak to ducks because I was raised to use everything but I’ve been on a few pheasant hunts in north Texas and that’s the method they used

I didnt know that worked on pouldeau but used it on grouse
