I really don't have any guns that I really hold near and dear to my heart. I have a a couple of guns that my parents bought when I was a kid but nothing passed down.

However, even though I've sold or traded a few guns in the past, I'd have a very hard time selling or trading anything at this point.

I don't have any fancy, schmancy guns (unfortunately). But I have my first ever gun - Winchester 120 "Ranger", youth model 20ga. I'd never sell it. It's loaded with buck right now, just waiting for a TPOS to show up.

Mine were tragically lost in a boating accident as well but if I had to do it again a browning o/u, beretta autoloaders 12/20 and a sako 270 would be a good start in the safe.
Would also need a 22 or 222 for varmints
A padnah loaned a browning 12 superposed w/ a perch belly stock for a quail hunt one time – it moved ……….

Most special only because it's the closest gun to me when I sleep.

OWB

Dad gave me a B-80 back in the day, but it went under in Katrina so the barrel looks pretty rough. I shoot it better than the 357 though.

I'm dying for a Winchester 1892 in .357.

A guy I hunt with has one in .38-40 and it is soooooooo sweet.

I wouldn't either

My dad has a 16 gauge double barrel from the late 1930's that he shot a couple times last year. If he passes it on to me, I won't get rid of it either

I have 2... Deal with it!

These are the only 2 remaining guns of the 77 guns my father left me when he passed away in 1991. From 91 to 05 I sold off the ones that had no value to me and wasn't his "regulars". That left me with 22. Katrina took the rest of them as they were stuck in a safe in Slidell that got inundated with water.

This gun was on my side the whole time I was riding out Katrina:

And this gun was in its own hard case, on top the guest bedroom bed which floated up and back down safely, saving everything I placed on top of it.
