Grab a bag of 90-120 frozen shrimp tails at the grocery store and have fun.

If it's channels or eater blues, you can't beat the ease and availability of a punch bait. The beat I've used is Mr Whiskers. Stays on a treble hook much better than Danny King or CJs.

For eaters, I like 20 lbs braid.

Catapla Worms are the GOAT pond catfish bait.

not as easy to find these days.

We used to wear them out with catalpa worms in the stocked cattle ponds when we were kids.

used to have trees full of the worms.

Take a pole and catch a few small bream, cut them up or use whole if small enough.

Small goggleye are better if you can get them

Chicken livers on a treble hook tied about a foot from the end of the line with sinkers on the end so it goes to the bottom and the bait stays just above the bottom
