It list new for $499...

I picked it up for $250 cash at my local pawn shop. Everything tested good and took a charge. It also came with an additional battery sold seperately for $99.

Here is mine so you can see the condition...

I've already got plans for a box stand... I'm so glad I don't have to borrow this kinda stuff anymore.

What do you think? Good purchase?

Biggest thing of concern is the batteries with that IMO

I'm not a Rigid fan, but if it gets your job done great. Those lithium batteries, looks like it.

Yeah, I didn't know too much about the brand. I called up a buddy who does a lot more carpentry than me and he said it's middle of the road brand. Not dewalt or milwaukee, but not just shite either. Per his words...

Then I googled the price of the set and it made me pull the trigger.

They were asking $300 for it in the shop. So, I got them to $250 like I said earlier...

Lots of good tool prices at the pawn shop. Looks like you got a good deal and plenty of money to buy batteries if needed...

Try and pre cut as much as you can before hand with power. Cordless saws as a rule eat batteries up fast.

Spot on. And are pretty dangerous too

My former boss in high school who owns his own construction company almost cut his thumb off by having the cordless saw jump back on him

Even if the batteries were bad, more than likely they could be fixed.

If you google how to fix these batteries, normally its one cell that goes bad. If you know how to solder they are easy to fix for like five bucks.

Thanks for the tip. I meant to say earlier I already have a craftsman drill and skil saw but both require power.

This is more of s deer stand put togetherer/outdoor odds and ends around the camp set where I have no power.

I have the 2 drills in that set. Great stuff. My dad uses his power tools a TON and swears by Dewalt but it wasn't really in my budget.

That's what I love about the South. We feel fine calling a Craftsman made saw a Skil saw. I call all tissues Kleenex FWIW.

I have that exact same set and use mine quite a bit. I've been nothing but happy with it. That little impact drill is the shite.

The batteries charge from dead to full power in about thirty minutes. Get a power inverter for your truck and you are good to go.

Rigid also warrants the batteries but.I'm not sure if you have to show original proof of purchase.

rigid is a top of the line brand and not middle of the road. I have had way more problems out of deWalt tools than rigid. Milwaukee would be the only 1 I consider better. but of course this is only an opinion

I'll bet the guy it was stolen from wished he'd found it at the pawn shop before you did. But since he didn't... good buy for you. Best advice I can give you on batteries is don't leave them sitting in the charger for long periods between uses. And that small "drill" is actually an impact driver.
