Disagree. I can't stand Ben O'Brien. Only one of the Meateater Crew I can't stand. I listened to his show for a while but he just started to come off as obnoxious and a tryhard.

His older stuff is better. I listen when the title is something interesting. I get where you're coming from on obnoxious and tryhard lol.

Joe Rogan has a few good hunting podcasts I’ve listened to over the last week.

#1365 with bow hunter Cameron Haynes
#1341 with Steven Rinella (Meateater guy)

Haven't listened to that one.

I've listened to it before, but Dan Johnson just doesn't do it for me. He's too monotone for my taste. No energy in the few pods I listened to. Which is strange, because Mark Kenyon doesn't exhibit a whole lot of energy, but I enjoy Wired To Hunt.

Then again, I don't listen to every episode of those pods either. Meateater and Newberg are probably the only ones that I listen to every episode. And most ElkTalk episodes because Corey Jacobsen and Randy know their shite when it comes to elk.

I know what you mean about Dan. I really like Down South Hunting. I like Mike the host, I like his guest and the content. I enjoy the episodes that have deer biologist as the guest. Very informative.

Agree!!!! I want to listen, but I usually changed it before too long. If you listen to Kyler and Locke you have NO chance of killing a deer. Guess what, you can not do everything right and still kill nice deer. Also, Kyler refuses to allow his guest to have the spotlight. Doesnt let them talk, bugs the crap out of me.

He is a horrible host and just talks over the guests.

Meateater is my favorite and they set the bar high.

I want to like the la bow hunter podcast but the host doesn’t let the guests talk. Many times the intro talks about what the guest is going to talk about. It sounds interesting and then he doesn’t let the guest give any input at all.

I don’t give a flip about “peppa grass”

Meateater is the pinnacle of outdoor podcasts. I haven't listened to everything out there, but of the pods that have a big following, Meateater is the best. But that is just Steve doing what Steve does. The guy doesn't put out garbage.

But Randy Newberg does a good job of hanging with Steve. I wish those two would do an episode together, because it would be awesome.

Oh, and for those of you familiar with him, Hank Shaw's "Hunt, Gather, Cook" Podcast returns on November 18 for season 2. If you've watched any Meateater episodes, you've probably seen him on there a few times.
