Anyone know where to acquire/buy old Louisiana Sportsman magazines (pre-2017)? Anyone have a bunch they are looking to get rid of? Looking for past issues. Louisiana Sportsman website only goes back to 2022 issues. TIA.

I threw out 10 years worth from 1990s to 2000s awhile back when I moved

Call the Louisiana Sportsman office.

Yea, you would have to find someone who has kept them. It’s even difficult to get extra copies these days.

Not buy. But they were at our local library when I was younger. Maybe scan em and go digital.

I have a box in the attic, will try to get them down this morning. Most will be from the 80’s.

I found mine in the attic, Louisiana Conservation magazine if that is what you are looking for, some as old as 1970.

I used to copy em. Made my own binders. They got lost in a move. Did a lot of work at 12 years old. They used to be way more informative than now

Thats awesome. I agree the writing and info used to be better. I’d always snag them for the first read and beat my Dad to it growing up.

Publishing biz has been in a death spiral for a long time, most of their longtime employees started to trickle out slowly around 10 years ago.
The family lost the patriarch and matriarch and then their daughter passed from cancer, I think Tony who ran Sportsman for years only does the apparel now.

I found some of my old magazines. I have some from 2014 through 2020. Let me know if you are looking for a specific issue and I’ll check to see if I have it. If you want them you can have them all.

Not trying to hijack Droplinebacker’s deal here but if anyone has extras that he doesn’t want I will take them. My nephew is obsessed with fishing but he lives in Nashville so his opportunities are limited. He’s starting to read and I told my sister I would try to snag him some old LA sportsman mags.

I have about 50 issues that I will give someone. I don’t need them and there’s no use in me keeping them.

I was reading one from like 2008 that I found at the deer camp last year, it was as thick as the Bible
