Well I was an early adopter of the trash panda when everyone unanimously shite on Q more than they do now.

Figured didn’t scare me then so why change and back ordered a CAT WB 718 hub.

I’ve been wanting a dedicated 556 can for a while and this one is hyped as if it’s the most tech advanced 556 dedicated can on the market.

Who knows how long before I even get a serial number to file with lol

If you ordered the Ti version it what I have.

It’s incredible. I think it’s quieter than my thunder chicken and a fraction of the weight.

ETA: I will say that it gets incredibly hot if you shoot a string of rounds. But it also
Cools down pretty quickly.

Also, on my Sig MCX Spear LT, it’s just ridiculous. Quiet, light, and no gas in your face.

I went with the 718 inconel version because it’s going to be mostly dedicated to my 11.5 sbr that I do most of my high volume training with and I know myself and I know I would be overly worried about pushing the can harder than I should.

I also know the weight is like an ounce heavier than my trash panda and I’ve never remotely been bothered by the weight of the trash panda.

You’ll absolutely love it.

I replaced a dead air sandman s with mine and it’s so much lighter which is what I was looking to do.
I’m using mine for predator control so high volume shooting wasn’t a consideration.

The cat stuff is great. Some dealers have the Alleycat models which are tailored to LEO use. So the Alleycat Ti is stronger than the WB Ti and can handle longer strings. A little more weight but still stupid light and definitely more durable.

Primary arms has some great deals on surefire scout lights. You can also get a replacement tail cap and pressure switch for $59.99. A 640 U 1000 linens when added to cart is $229.99. That’s over $100 off regular price.

I hate that you posted that, haha. My Streamlight protac pressure pad started acting up on me yesterday. First time I questioned if I should be spending more on Surefire.

PA has had some good deals the last few days. I been gathering up parts from them and others to see if I can make a more accurate and little lighter 12" 6.5 grendel to swap out my PSA 12" upper. Picked up a Odinworks ultra light barrel and bcg (going to swap the carrier to a chromed microbest), BCM upper (for the thermal fit) and a MI ultralight handguard.

On another note I should be good to run a dead air pyro 2.0 directly threaded to a barrel without a muzzle device? I need to steal a rearden muzzle device from one of mine for this new upper since they are oos everywhere and I want to take it hunting next week. I run the pyro on a 12" 308 for fun since I dont have a can that will run on that short of a barrel....yet

Thanks, I did already that’s where my barrel bcg combo came from. I think there are some other brands like forward control design in stock other places but I won’t get them in time for my trip, that’s the only reason I’m looking to steal one off another rifle. It’s my own fault for waiting this long lol

Decided to put together a 6.5 grendel. Kind of a lightweight budget deal, so the wife isnt any wiser to what I am doing.

As long as I have extra parts laying around, I suppose I should keep putting guns together.

I need the shawty R2S. I dont think the long fits in the cans I have. At least thats what I remember from first looking at it. I took one off my 308 since its a FH with no timing or shims its easy with a vise and tq wrench.

My 18" is done

Not counting Optic I built for $1213. I bought most stuff on sale. My buddy gave me the BCM BCG for a favor I did for him. I have had the Larue barrel sitting in my safe for 9 months. I bought at Optics In January for $142 shipped on a discontinued sale. The upper and lower set was the real deal. It sells for $400 on Wilson’s site. CTD had a few weeks ago for $99.

Build list

Upper and lower are Wilson Billet set (bought for $130 OTD on sale)

Lower
Wilson Combat billet LPK
Giselle SSA-E Trigger (had one laying around)
Wilson Combat BCM Starburst gunfighter grip
Bad ambi safety selector
Wilson COmbat Rogers Stock

Upper
Larue 18" Predat Barrel
BCM BCG
Surefire CTF
Wilson Combat 12.6 M-Lok Handguard
Superlative Arms Adj gas block
Breek Arms Warhammer Mod 2 CH
Surefire Scout 640U with tape switch and Magpul switch mount

Optic
Trijicon Credo 2.5-15-42 sitting on Warne Cantilever Mount

Going to take it out maybe tomorrow to local range in Baker to get it zero'd in and maybe take it out to my property in St Helena on Sunday where I can shoot out to 300.

On sale again for $99 in the link below. I have picked up some smoking deals from CTD in the past month. After Sandy Hook I wouldn't do business with them but at these prices its hard to say no.

I picked up 10 boxes of 300 BO sub 194 gr underwood max expansion a few weeks ago for $29.99 a box. It sells for $60-$70 everywhere else.

They have forged Wilson lowers for $49.

This wasn't some Blem its in perfect condition. I bought the Wilson Billet LPK for it because some folks had issues with other LPK fitting. I had no issues. The Wilson MLOK handguard fits perfect as well and you can find the 12.6" for around $120.

Optics planet still has some 5.56 Larue barrels on sale for $139.99. Stealth 16” and Predat 16”. The predat is a good lightweight option. It balances out real well.
