Got my AR-10 .308 complete lower in today. It was a PSA gen 3 blem (can’t find the blem yet) for $169. Couldn’t pass it up

doing it in 2 parts, the chassis build + most parts then doing a barrel kit. Slightly cheaper this way, because I'm avoiding the 10% vat tax on whole gun... but it's really to break up cost, because I'm not an ot baller

What do you guys know about Luth-AR barrels? Optics Planet has a 14.5” socom barrel for $178.

Bought a 3X mini prism today, 3 Aero lowers and considering a 1-6 LPVO from Primary Arms. I was looking for a couple Midwest Industries two piece handguards. Maybe they'll go on sale tomorrow.

Finally put an optic on this one. 2.5x Primary Arms Prism ACSS 5.56 reticle. Very happy with it. The levels of FDE from different MFGs (7) tho And yes, it will get a sling.

I caught the same deal around that time ($189 with Magpul MOE stock and overmolded grip). Picked up a BCA 22-250 upper, which runs really well, but the fit is a little tight on the rear pin. Anyone have to revise some clearances assembling an AR10?

I haven't, but make sure you revise the smallest, easiest-to-replace item. Buddy of mine wallowed out the hole in the receiver instead of taking a little material off the pin and now that combo is locked in.

A1 upper with a 14.7 barrel and Midwest Industries two piece MLOK handguard. I'm going to put a Primary Arms micro prism on it.
Sent it off today to have a Surefire Warcomp pinned and welded on.

Looking to build my first AR. Im confused with adjustable stocks, is there a good comparison video out there? Is light weight good on that end of the gun? What are some OB favs?

We use stencil patterns that you can buy online. It’s really not hard to do. Just buy 4 colors in rattle can flat paint.

I doubt there’s much weight difference in most of them. I like the STR, not because I store anything in the tubes but because I prefer the cheek weld to the basic Magpul. I still have the basic Magpul (I forget the name) on one of mine and it’s fine as well.

I have various Magpul on most of mine.
ETA: you will need to be conscientious of your tube diameter.
There are two sizes and they must match with the stock.
