I have never seen any eotech reticle look like that and have looked through many.

Just looked through another one at a completely different store. Looked exactly like the image I posted earlier. Maybe it’s because of all the reflections it’s bouncing off of. I could have a bad eye, but a simple red dot looks solid and completely filled in.

It’s out of stock on that site. I can get it from Bud’s though.

You have to have a local store have an IWI Zion in stock somewhere.

Ah ok. Any idea on what the turnaround time might be on them restocking? I ordered the gun from Buds and it just says it will be delayed.

Didn't know Global Ordinance made magazines. How are they compared to Duramag's steel magazines?

Never had a Duramag, so can’t comment on that. These are made in South Korea.

All the ones I’ve tested were good.

I have Duramags in 7.62x39, they work flawlessly. They're also expensive

I have a bunch of the GO mags in 223, they also work flawlessly, and they're cheap as heck.
If I recall the original description (not sure about the current sale), these were excess made for the South Korean military. Given how things are over there, I would assume they make sure things work.

What's the purpose of a red dot sight?

You don't know the purpose of a red dot sight?

A little story: buddy had an Aimpoint micro. He LOVED that thing, showed it to everybody, one of the best purchase he ever made. Then the next gen micro comes out and he watches a Youtube video that shows the first gen T1 compared to the T2 had a slight bluish tint to the glass. He'd never noticed it and you could only really see it in a side-by-side comparison.

All of a sudden he's unhappy with his T1 and wants to sell it and buy a T2, which is going to cost him a couple hundred dollars difference at a time when $200 meant something to him. So I asked him the same question: what's the purpose of the sight? Is it to have ultra clear glass and accurate color transmission or is it to get on target? Does a slight bluish tint that you never noticed keep you from quickly putting it on target? If not then save your money.

Yes, with the way the technology works an Eotech has a pixelated circle, not a smooth one. It's about as relevant to its purpose as the color of your handguard is to your rifle.

that's the point i was making. being constantly told and reading that they aren't when i finally found proof that they are.

small/pointless victories.

Not exactly grainy, the edges and aim point are clearly defined. My own 512 looks like that but is in no way a hinderance to how it functions. I prefer it to the M68 CCO which really has to be dialed down to get a good sharp point. O think people just like to find reasons to whine about a product in preference to what they own.

Which can?

I can tell you the Ghost M mounts are expensive as hell and it seems like every gun needs a separate mount.
I bought the cam-lok from Griffin Armament and have been happy with them.

I prefer Magpul or Lancer mags. Their the only ones I trust. Granted I've probably shot over 10k rnds with mine.

I shoot with my dots occluded a lot to train to target focus. I Don't care about clarity as much as I do about reliability. I prefer single aiming points thought which is why I dont own an eotech or vortex uh1. I like plain old dots.

It's a Wolfman, and my first can

Planning to use it on a 300 blk build and an SP5 but might ultimately get a 3 lug specific can for the HK.

I'm leaning toward Xeno, which I guess would mean I'd need a brake for the 300blk build per Dead Air.

Ordered the IWI Zion 15 along with the Sig Romeo5 red dot. As well as a few magpul mags, sling, and 1k rounds of .223 ammo. First AR purchase. I’m pretty excited about it!

Kewl.

How many of you guys have upgraded your BCG cam pin? Had a guy tell me about the the POF roller cam pin. Makes the charging so much smoother and not so gritty like you’re pulling it through sand paper. It’s also supposed to reduce “wear” on the upper receiver.

What brought this up was that I was telling them about a Wilson Combat rifle that was at a local store and the guy mention that it probably had one of these in it. It was like glass smooth.
