How do you like the Right to Bear? I've been going back and forth on how to build a dedicated .22 AR. I've been reading a lot on them, and I haven't seen that name come up yet. Looks like it uses CMMG mags.

From what I have been reading, the 15-22 is the most reliable mag system out there. I'm building this one for steel plate competitions so it has to be 100% reliable, which is asking a lot from a .22 AR.

For cans with trust I been seeing 280s to just over 300 typically. Some recent individual form 4s been going through in about 90. I use a trust so the 3 I have waiting still have a bunch of time

I like RTB so far, but all I have done is finger bang the parts and this upper. I’m not sure if they have anything to do with making it or if it’s rebranded CMMG made to RTB specs. The bolt in this upper is stamped CMMG for instance but they sell there own brand bolt too. So I’d wager to say anything you read about CMMG 22 stuff would most likely relate to there stuff.

Now they do claim that there 16” pencil barrel is the only lite 16” available at a reasonable price, that’s what this upper has.

My 15/22 is ok...I changed the trigger to a elf man right after I got it and it doesn’t really like it. Might need to make some adjustments but I haven’t messed with it in a while. The trigger pins and holes don’t instill confidence...if I keep it I’ll end up putting some anti rotation pins or something to try to beef it up.

I’ll report back when I get to shoot it maybe in a cpl weeks.

Edit to add:

RTB also had their LW carrier on sale for $55 but they are OOS now. They are supposed to get more and may still have the same price (they told me to email them if it wasn’t). They told me you can run it on any ar15 caliber (Including 458) and they have a life time warranty. You brake it they replace it.

Yep I would think so. I’d say around 300 I’d start calling the ATF to check on it.

Is that for your Revolution? If so POF offered free suppressor tuning. You send it to them with the can and they will make gas adjustments for that specific one. Just got mine back for that and it was bad with fte and ftf. It was a early run and they have a updated barrel bolt bombo they switched into mine. Ran 30 rounds or so through it so far without a hitch and was smooth and soft shooting with my omega. WAY more than my 12.5” PSA space cannon with a flash hider

What’s y’alls favorite AR calibers? I’ve got .223, .300blk, .308, and .22lr. Have an extra lower laying around looking for some ideas on what to do.

Thinking about .224 Valkyrie

Just swapped out a 556 barrel for a Wilson Recon 224 V (on sale at Wilson). The Horandy match ammo is money but the federal stuff doesn't group well at all. My 12 yr old son took a 145 lb doe with it Monday. 100 yd shot in the shoulder and dropped her in her tracks.

I thought about a 224v build...and maybe one day. I went 6.5 Grendel and 223 wylde to scratch that itch because I didn't have either of those types of barrels in the lineup and the 224v was a little new still.

I dont have anywhere to shoot super far to warent the 224 (also why I haven't jumped into 6.5c. The 6.5g is pretty good and I can hunt with it. The wylde wasn't a new caliber I needed to stock.

What about a big bore 450 or 458?

Yeah I work pretty close to FTS range (~1000 yards) so would like something to reach out with there. Really leaning towards a long barrelled .224v

Have always been interested in 6.5g but I think that one is a little further down my list.

I think that's what I'm leaning towards. 24" barrel with 1/6.5 twist.

I bought one of their .22 bolt carriers and it looks exactly like my CMMG.

AR newbie here. Got a Diamond Back AR-15 for Christmas. Just wondering what the rant thinks of Diamondbacks. I know they had some quality control issues early on. How are they now? Model is a DB-15SSB. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Me and the wife will using for plinking and hog hunting mostly.

So I'm ready to start the process of getting a suppressor for my AR. Just looking for recommendations on which brands I should start looking at. I have a 300 blackout and 6.5 Grendel.
