This is the one I bought from brownells when I did my build.

Anyone use a magpul UBR or UBR gen2? Magpul UBR I like the heavier weight to balance the firearm and the fixed cheek weld. Never liked the wiggle in a lot of collapsible stocks.
Just curious if anyone has one of these and what their thoughts are on it. Pretty expensive for a stock but I'm leaning towards it. I'll hang up and listen

UBR is a very robust stock. It looks slick as hell in an SBR platform. I will probably add one to my Noveske when I find the funds. I have used them on some of my friend's builds and really liked them.

Last time I was in the stock market, I went with a BCM. Literally 1/3 the weight of the UBR Gen 2 and less than 1/3 of the original UBR. Also has dual QD mounts and a slot for those who run their sling directly through the stock.

Have used, not a fan of the weight for smaller calibers. If I ever get around to a 458 socom build I plan on giving it another shot. Beast of a collapsible stock.

Don't see a reason that would heat up more than normally.

yep. got my gun trust done and bought my tax stamp. I ordered a silencer for my G21. Form 4 and everything was sent in a few days ago to BATF. Told me 6 month wait. we shall see.

Who'd you order from in laffy?

What would you call normal? This is my first one and it's like that every time I shoot it.

If you are firing rapidly, yes.

Need some quick help, filing a form 1, anyone know the full length of the Ar15 with an 8.5in barrel?
Posted on 7/5/16 at 3:52 pm to RATeamWannabe
27.5"
Shouldn't matter much what you list. I submitted mine as a 10.5" barrel at 29.5", and ended up putting a 8.5" barrel on it.

such short barrel life in those stainless barrels compared to their chrome/nitrided counter parts. If you're not benchrest shooting I wouldn't bother with them.
I'm building the stainless upper for paper punching. Putting the Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x44 on it. The other upper with the Phosphate barrel and Bushnell 1-4x24 will be kept the same. Might turn into a new lower later in the year. Honestly I don't shoot 223 enough to ever shoot out a stainless barrel in my life time.

I put 27.5" for my 9" 300 blackout. Hope that helps.

I know a 10.5" barrel in pistol configuration is 25.8" which is just short of the 26" needed to make a AOW.

Once stamp is in hand you can change the configuration however you like with 2 exceptions
1.) can't be made into a destructive device- You can't turn it into a 20mm anti tank gun
2.) you can't transfer it to another individual with a configuration that is different than the original form 1 or 4.

Luckily I have no plans of transferring.

I recently picked up a FDE bcm stock. I like it so far. Of note the fde bcm is a lighter shade than magpul fde 8n case anybody looking to match them up. It's still pretty close though.

Considering doing a efile form 1 before the 13th.. I really want the hellbreaker spikes lower on my SBR though. Do y'all think spikes would give me the S/N once order was submitted and paid for which wouldn't allow me to submit, right?
Or should I just find a cheaper lower in town and use that?
