Open letter ATF stance on "redesigning"of Sig Brace
Not sure if this was posted any where. But thought it was interesting that the ATF was commenting on the Sig Brace.
SG, I'm hoping that is the case

Simple solution- don't shoulder the brace at a public range. Save it to shoot on private property

Wife got me a JP silent capture buffer/spring system. Going to put it on a 300 BLK. The only thing I hear when I shoot that thing is the damn spring and buffer slapping around. Hopefully this helps.
you will put it on everything hereafter. completely eliminates that grating sound

Okay, one of the first steps to my build is down. Picked up my upper today, thanks to Carson. He gave me a great deal on a DD upper he had.
I have decided to go with a stripped lower and putting my own LPK in. This will be a first for me. What special tools will i need to put this together. I figured building the lower would help me learn my rifle. Also, is there anything that makes one LPK package better then others?

Needle pliers, maybe a screwdriver or allen wrench, and one of those adjustable wrenches. That's literally the only tools I have used to put together multiple lowers

Crescent wrench?
Good deal. Well guess that's for sure the route I will go. Can someone get be me some reviews on LPKs they used and we're happy with?

As easy and quick as it is today to form 1 an SBR why would anyone even fool with a sig brace. You can pay the tax stamp almost for what the SB costs. Efiling form 1's are running less than 35 days for most folks. That is faster than Palmetto state shipping.

Speaking of efiling, I'm going to seriously consider 2-3 more lowers prior to 41p. Also a dedicated 22lr can and another 30 cal. can. That Omega looks nice.

it's not as good as the PPQ's

Lol did you look at the internet and read that and let it fester? In my opinion, unless a guns reset is absolutely terrible, it's not anything to worry about.

Uhh what? Not sure where the condescension is coming from, but no. I sell guns and I play with them enough to know what I like. I ordered the VP9 on a whim since I couldn't find one anywhere. Other choice was the PPQ. I compared them side by side today and the PPQ's trigger just felt better. I liked everything else on the VP9 equally or more. I'll just order a PPQ Navy SD in a few weeks

I really apologize if it came off like that. I truly didn't mean it that way.
I just meant that gun reviews tend to infect people's minds with nitpicking certain things that are probably marginal anyway. Radicalist posters tend to amplify what they don't like.
For instance, take up on a trigger. For all of the people that shot my cz75b, not one complained die hard about the trigger take up. They were all understanding that it will have some but once you get past that it is a great trigger.
Another thing that did happen to me is when I bought my AR. I could have gotten a m&p sport and been very happy with it but it wasn't milspec and I just had to have it because the internet told me to.

They only responded because a bunch of dumbasses were wanting letters saying what they were doing was legal. Poke the bull long enough and theyll respond. Its a dumb response, but what do you want them to say?
TTT got it right.
